Vida Plena is an innovative hospitality group founded in Lisbon in 2018, dedicated to creating authentic, joyful experiences and serving top-quality fresh food. Building on our passion for crafting lasting experiences, we’ve expanded beyond hospitality to embrace a new Regenerative Farming.
We ́re on a mission to produce our own signature spirit in Portugal whilst also contributing to thriving ecosystems. As part of this new venture, we are introducing a drought-resistant plant species new to Portugal, leveraging its many benefits and creating new opportunities in the rural areas of Portugal.
For the realization of this vision we already acquired several prime lands in Alentejo:
- Our first 28-hectare land in Mosqueirão, Grândola, planted and set-up in Q3 2024.
- A 103-hectare land in Freixo, Redondo, partly planted and set-up in Q4 2024.
3. A 15-hectare land in Mosqueirão, Grândola, yet to be set up for regenerative farming in 2025/2026.
To support the operations on two of our lands in Mosqueirão we are looking for a full-time Junior Farm Manager. Working together and reporting directly to our Senior Farm Manager, Pedro Pacheco, you will play a crucial role in the daily farm operations, supporting implementation of regenerative farming practices, and helping to establish new plantations.

Responsibilities
● Oversee the overall maintenance and improvement of the plantation, and farm infrastructure in Mosqueirão.
● Perform plantation maintenance tasks, including (but not limited to) (re)planting, weeding, watering, pruning, animal prevention, and looking after the health of the plants.
● Operate farm machinery (e.g., tractor, hand cutter) to perform tasks such as transporting material, soil preparation, sowing, cover crop cutting, weeding.
● Continuously monitor plant growth, soil health, weather and land conditions with the help of technology implementations to document observations and prepare consequent actions.
● Manage and control the drip irrigation system, ensuring efficient water use and effective
watering practices.
● Contribute to building and maintaining relationships with suppliers for material, products and
external services required.
● Support implementation of regenerative farming practices like cover cropping, mulching, and
biofertilizers with guidance from the team, continuously refining techniques and best
practices.
● Support implementation of rotational grazing of sheep across the property.
● Assist the team in establishing a new plantation on the 15-hectare land.
● Occasionally provide operational support to the Farm Manager on the Redondo property.
Core Requirements
● At least 2 years of experience in farming operations, preferably on larger farms.
● Willingness to be very hands-on and comfortable with daily manual farming tasks.
● A strong willingness to grow/ develop knowledge in—regenerative farming practices.
● Available to travel daily to the farms in Mosqueirão.
● Able to communicate in Portuguese and basic English.
● Experience with tractor operations and familiarity with farm equipment.
● Enthusiastic to become an expert in cultivating exotic, drought-resistant plant species.
